Watching “Re:cycle of the Penguindrum” and it’s fine, certainly easier to digest with all the metaphors right next to each other. But when you remove all the subplots and light hearted penguin slapstick, Penguindrum is just a gauntlet of child sexual abuse and terrorist attacks. #anime
